In 2008, a wastewater treatment system was delivered to a bus depot (commonly known as a maintenance and washing facility). Before the installation, a large amount of oil sludge was generated, but by installing aeration pipes, Aqua Blaster, in the existing water tank and performing aeration, we successfully reduced the generation to one-sixth. Since the oil sludge was being treated as industrial waste through incineration, this indirectly cut CO2 emissions by one-sixth as well. Although the electricity consumption and maintenance costs for the aeration pipes, Aqua Blaster, increased, the costs for sludge recovery (cleaning costs) were significantly reduced, resulting in an annual cost reduction of 2.2 million yen.
